GEORGE ROWLAND LITIGATION
Ian Cohen, Head of Medical Negligence at Goodmans Law is representing up to 400 clients in an action against Liverpool Gynaecologist Dr George Rowland.
The litigation is expected to be one of the largest group actions in British Medical History.
Dr Rowland who practiced from Aintree, Fazakerley and Liverpool Womens Hospital between 1993 and 2008, has been investigated by the General Medical Council who highlighted a number of concerns with his performance.
Those concerns included misdiagnosis, and inappropriate procedures which have left patients with ongoing symptoms. Some women have endured multiple unnecessarily complicated operations under Dr Rowland’s care.
As many of these cases date back more than 10 years, Solicitors have entered into a unique agreement that allows women who would ordinarily be disqualified due to the passage of time, to be included in the litigation.
We believe that there may be as many as 1000 local women who have suffered or are still suffering pain, debilitation and psychological damage as a result of Dr Rowland’s negligence.
Although the cut off date for claims to be registered has now passed, it may still be possible to participate in the litigation if you have only become aware that you have affected within the last 3 years. It is therefore imperative that you contact Goodmans Law as a matter of utmost urgency.
