FALLS TRIPS AND SLIPS
We have clients of all ages who are injured because they have fallen, slipped or tripped. Often this will be over a raised paving stone, missing kerb stone, missing grid cover or some other dangerous obstruction. Sometimes children have hurt themselves because of dangers in the park, people have tripped over boxes left in the aisle of a shop or have slipped on spillages in supermarkets. The types of accident are wide ranging and can even include people trespassing on private property.
Injuries can range from minor soft tissue injuries through to very serious orthopaedic and sometimes head injuries. Hip injuries are common in our more mature clients.
Such injuries often deprive people of their mobility and independence and their quality of life is significantly affected. Others are forced to take time off work or can’t look after their children.
Its reasonable to expect that you will be safe when you are in a public place. If you have an accident whilst in a public place or on someone else’s premises and sustain injury, an expert injury Solicitor will be able to advise whether you are able to bring a compensation claim and then work with you to ensure that you receive the appropriate level of compensation.
Laws are passed to protect you from injury, but the law is also there to ensure you are fully compensated if you do have an accident because someone is either fully or partly to blame.
